Yes the water is very warm. But we don't have the high waves like on the west coast, either. even our lakes are warm. Lake murray's temps were in the upper 80's. The weather today was mid 70s and the water was warmer than the air. It made it cold when you got out though.

I would love to go to the beach if the water was warm. I hate getting in cold water.
