Weekend fun

This weekend we went to the parent's homestead in Allendale. Sydney had a grand ole time with Ya-ya and Pop-pop. I gave a talk on commitment, and Jesse got heat stroke on the roof. Installing an antenna in 104 degree weather isn't such a good idea! But you can't tell him anything. Beka's Grad party went off without a hitch (after the hundred trips to the store) and Bug got in a pool and swam by herself for the first time! Of course she was buoyed up with a floating swimsuit and a baby-sized ring, but she just kicked her way all over that pool, with mommy, daddy, meme or one of the aunts never more than three inches away (i'm not paranoid at all). Now we're home and resting up for the holiday. I don't think we'll be doing more than sparklers, if that. Sydney also cut another tooth. I think they're comming in one by one just to make her miserable all the time. Poor baby, I'll be glad when they're all in. Lately her favorite pastime is oatmeal projectile cause it's still warm, she's leaning toward only eating cold things, cause it numbs her mouth. I've got her on everything I dare to give her. Rotating between tylenol and motrin while she has a slight fever, and teething tablets and not limiting her popcicles It's all I can do to keep her comfortable and distracted. At the rate her teeth are comming in, it'll all be over soon. Thank Goodness!

I feel so bird-brained today!

Today is my b-day and this is how i feel! (a little bird-brained) For my special day i got to do laundry, clean the entire house from top to bottom, do the grocery shopping make my own dinner, kill the fire ants that invaded Sydney's room and the palmetto bug that invaded the living room, and now i'm going out to clean the backyard of all Bug's pool toys (while she goes behind me and scatters them all again and gets drenched in the process) I love being a mom! This job never gets boring! Thanks everyone who sent me cards! Love ya'll!!!

Woah....Where has 2009 gone?!

Hey Ya'll! Happy Father's Day to all the daddies catchin up on us. Here's what's going on: Sydney is walking, running, talking, babbling, and swimming! It's all that Daddy and Mommy can do to keep up. She is everywhere and in everything! Last week she got her finger slammed in the bathroom door, now it's all black and blue. She's OK. Mommy cried longer than she did, and Sydney was playing less than an hour later. Lately Sydney has also been in the pool. Like Mommy, she's a total water baby, and anytime she's in the back yard, she ends up wet. One final little note: Mommy has finally gained control of the blog, and updates should be much more frequent. Stay Tuned!
