Down and Dirty!

Well the nesting has officially started a little earlier than I thought would happen. I've been busy, busy! And as a result, i've included the rest of the household in all my craziness! I'm making Sydney's easter dress, based on a $100 one I saw in a catalog. I've tried and suceeded at making my own laundry detergent, Thanks to Beth! (it really works pretty well) I've also planted some veggies in some planter pots. Now my seeds are outgrowing thier starter pots and are ready for the ground. Where to put them? How about where we killed the bee-attracting bushes by the back door last year? Great! Just one problem.....The stumps and roots are still there. Well daddy, get to work!
Not only did daddy get in on it (or rather forced into it) but Sydney decided to help by digging around and pulling up the big dirt clods.
Aunt Cera even got in on it and tried her hand at stump pulling. This just started as a whim, but has now escilated to include more veggies than I originaly planned. We're going to run out of room if I don't pull in the reigns on these projects!

Hair today, gone tomorrow.....

I just couldn't stand it any longer........Litterally! Keeping up with a two-year-old, and working full time, and dealing with being pregnant just did not equal nice hair. All the time it ended up being in a pony-tail or bun. My hair is also very thick, so buns and ponytails are heavy and hurt my neck. I needed something easy to fix, one of those "wash and go" types. So on a whim (which is how all my haircuts happen, by the way) I walked into the nearest chop shop and requested a whack! The poor stylist was worried, she chopped off over 8 inches! I loved it when she was finished! I still love it. All I have to do to it is blow it dry and it's set to go! I do this routine every few months or so thanks to fast growing hair. In fact if I decide to keep it this short I'll have to get a trim in about a month. It just might be worth the extra trims.

Wiggle worm

I had a Dr's appointment last week right before we went on a short vacation, so this update is a little late. Baby's doing good. He/she didn't like the heartbeat wand and rolled over to avoid it. But his/her heart beat was good and strong at about 150bpm. I'm doing much better. The exaustion is almost gone and I can now return to cooking everything except beef. There's just something about that particular meat that i can't stand. The cravings have started and are stronger than my first pregnancy. I had to have Mike's Chinese, and Dukes BBQ and bread-n-butter pickles all in the same week (not in the same sitting!!). and the absolute best thing that's happened all week: I can feel the baby! It's not often, only when I'm still and then the baby has to be awake. And it's only strong movements, like kicks and streches. It's been very exciting! We still have about 6/7 weeks before we can find out the gender of the baby, so until then it's just going to have to be a little wiggle worm. (makes sense, since Sydney is my Bug) More updates later, and a picture as soon as I can steal it back from Yaya (my mother stole the ultrasound picture!)

Prayer Request, Please....

I never ask for anyone to pray for anyone or anything, but i'm asking now. I'm in mourning for my dear friends Kim and Chris. They will be fine eventually, but Kim has suffered a terrible loss. I ask that you would please keep them in your prayers.
